These are the parts to my popsicle stick that I 3D printed at Lehigh University's Summer Engineering Institute. Users place a popsicle in the assembled device and turn the gear to push the treat up for easy consumption. 1 - main body. Popsicle placed in this compartment with wooden stick protruding through the bottom into the handle. 2 - handle. Attaches to bottom of main body. Allows popsicle stick to rest in it. Ergonomic design. 3 - rack gear. Housed inside handle. Positioned below the plate to raise and lower it. 4 - plate. Placed inside main body. Pushes popsicle up while the stick remains in place. 5 - gear. Users turn this to raise the plate. Meshes with rack gear. Positioned inside the handle. Through this project, I gained a new appreciation for rapid prototyping - I never understood how much easier it is to see errors with a physical product over a computer model. I plan to perfect my design and apply for a patent this summe
